At St. James’, we provide after-school playcare free of charge. In addition, after the academic day, St. James’ students participate in a variety of enrichment opportunities.
Classes are offered according to student interests and academic needs.
Here is a sample of a few of the many classes we offer:

Clayworks
Calling all creative clay sculptors, come explore the world of clay! In this art class we will be using various types of clay, learning exciting building techniques, and much more. Projects will include wire armature statues, sculptures of different types, and an array of other creations. So bring your smocks, roll up your sleeves, and join us for this exciting clayworks class.

Young Engineers
In this STEM-based class students will learn basic engineering concepts while designing, building and testing cool things like bridges, catapults, towers and egg droppers. Students use the scientific process to design, refine and test solutions to real-world building challenges while thinking both critically and creatively. This class is a excellent opportunity for students to sharpen their critical thinking and problem solving skills while making friends and having fun.

Shakespeare For Kids
This fun and educational Shakespeare intensive class offers children a unique opportunity to discover the language and imagery of Shakespeare’s text. Your child will gain confidence and improve speaking skills, all while having a good time! Students will learn about metaphor, iambic pentameter, and the difference between prose and verse. Each child will perform a monologue or scene on the last day of class. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
